With Columbus Day weekend rapidly approaching, Long Island will soon be packed to the brim with events for kids and adults alike. Though some will use the extended weekend as an opportunity to travel, there are plenty of options for entertainment right here on Long Island. From holiday parades to fall festivals, Columbus Day weekend is prime for enjoying the Fall weather with your family.

Whether you are looking to pick your own pumpkins, sample delicious treats, attend a lively carnival, or simply take in the soothing sights and sounds of Fall, there are events and activities planned all weekend to satisfy all of your entertainment cravings.

Long Island Fall Festival

Vendors, live music, and carnival rides are just a few of the features of the Long Island Fall Festival. Located in the heart of Huntington, this festival has been a staple for Long Island entertainment for many years.

Babylon Fall Festival

Saturday, October 11th from 12-3 PM

From hay rides and petting zoos to live music and unique foods, the Babylon Fall Festival is designed to provide family-friendly entertainment for all ages.

Fall Festival and Costume Parade

Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12th from 10 AM – 5 PM.

While children will be enthralled by the petting zoo and carousel, adults will find enjoyment perusing the festival's many craft vendors and listening to the live music.  Additionally, a costume parade will take place at the Recreational Center's fields on Saturday, October 11th at noon.

Mill Neck Family's Fall Harvest Festival

Raffles, craft vendors, activities for children, and a huge variety of grilled dishes and baked treats make the 53rd annual Fall Harvest Festival a must-visit.

Fall Festival at Deepwells

While kids will enjoy the petting zoo, pony rides, and games, adults will be entertained by the craft vendors, seasonal foods, and a large pumpkin patch to pick in.

Harvest Festival at Benner's Farm

A laid-back afternoon of picking pumpkins and listening to wholesome, live music at Benner's Farm.

Plant & Sing Festival

The festival is designed to bring members of the Long Island community together to plant garlic and harvest crops. Featuring live music and food, the Plant & Sing Festival is a great choice for getting some fresh air and enjoying the Fall weather.

Oyster Festival

In its 31st year, the Oyster Festival has grown to become the largest waterfront festival on the entire East Coast. Pirate shows, midway rides, an extensive food court, and an oyster eating contest are just some of the many features of this iconic festival.

Montauk Fall Festival

During the weekend, attendees to the Montauk Fall Festival will be able to enjoy a farmers market, children's art contest, live music, and raffles. Saturday night will also feature fireworks, Oktoberfest celebrations, and a fundraising auction for the Montauk Playhouse Community Center.

Riverhead Country Fair
