Montauk, NY - On October 9, Star Island Yacht Club will host its 2nd Annual Striped Bass Tournament from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Prizes will be given to the heaviest striped bass and bluefish, with $10,000 in cash prizes being offered. The Captain's Meeting will take place on October 8.

Last year, 300 anglers and 63 boats participated in the two-day event, with $10,000 in total prize money paid out. Kenny Howard aboard Bob Maier's "Elizabeth" was last year's winner with a striped bass of 44.6 lbs. The heaviest bluefish was caught by Steve DiBenedetto aboard his boat, "Instigator."

Entry fee is $275 per boat for up to four anglers ($50 for each additional angler). Their boats can accommodate up to six anglers for the day of the tournament.
