Ocean Beach is easy to get to. Ocean Beach is serviced through the ferries in Bay Shore, Long Island. The 25 Min. boat ride adds to the charm of the trip. By car and without traffic, like on Saturday mornings, the trip to Bay Shore is about one hour from New York City. During rush hour expect 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You can also take the train from Penn Station, or a private van service from 2nd Avenue.
