The Mohegan Sun Arena at the huge gaming and resort complex in Uncasville, Connecticut, will rock to an Asian beat on Saturday, September 23,
as singing stars Martin Nievera and "Pops" Fernandez from the Philippines are joined by Korean sensation Jenevi Bakch in a sizzling night of song, beginning at
7 PM.

Fernandez, who wowed a crowd of 5,000 in the arena last spring when she teamed with rival Filipina diva Regine Velasquez, is this time joined by former husband Martin, himself one of the Philippines' top singers, in an evening that sould sparkle with tension as well as electricity. Singers from the Philippines are known throughout Asia as sizzling entertainers, and now American audiences are enjoying their musicality and theatricality.

Bakch, who was born in Korea and grew up in Las Vegas, has built a following of her own in the desert oasis, fronting such stars as Jessica Simpson, Kid Rock and Wayne Newton. She has also spent considerable time entertaining our troops in the Middle East as part of Newton's revue.

The Mohegan Sun complex is an attraction in itself with two monster casinos, a luxury hotel and such fine restaurants to choose from as Todd English's Tuscany, Pompeii and Caesar, and Michael Jordan's Steakhouse.

In addition, the area in Eastern Connecticut known as Mystic Coast and Country offers such enjoyable attractions as Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, the USS Nautilus and Submarine Force Museum, and the Mashantucket Pequot Native American Museum.

For tickets to the "Martin and Pops" Concert, priced at $48, $78 and $108, call (917) 294-6783. For information on Mohegan Sun, go to www.mohegansun.com.
