If you are a food lover who enjoys being in the kitchen, there’s some hot spots on Long Island for you to enjoy this week! There’s also plenty of musical entertainment going on, including Latin Night at Grasso’s, the Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter at The Paramount, and a program on Motown music at Babylon Public Library. MONDAY – SEPTEMBER 23, 2013

Who: The Taste Of The Three Village
Info: This event features some of Long Island’s most popular restaurants, cafes, and bistros. The night will be complete with culinary delights. Funds raised will benefit a scholarship program at SUNY Stony Brook’s School of Journalism.
Cost: $50 Per Person

Who: Film – Koch At Theatre Three
Info: Head over to Theatre Three to see a free screening of the documentary Koch. It was filmed shortly before former Mayor Ed Koch’s death. It stars Ed Koch, Michael Bloomberg, and Calvin O. Butts III. The film runs for 100 minutes.

TUESDAY – SEPTEMBER 24, 2013

Who: Art Group At Smithtown Library Smithtown Branch
Info: Come join this art group where there’s the chance to share ideas and learn new techniques while working on your current art projects. This is a weekly group working on independent projects.

Who: Latin Night At Grasso’s

WEDNESDAY – SEPTEMBER 25, 2013

Who: Mozzarella Making Workshop At Cold Spring Harbor Library
Info: Learn how to make fresh mozzarella with Chef Lisa. She’ll teach how to turn milk into curd and how to take curd to create fresh balls of mozzarella you can take home. Participants are asked to bring a large mixing bowl to class. Sign up for the class at the Information Service Desk.

Who:  Fiddler On The Roof At BayWay Arts Center
Info: This performance tells the story of a Jewish milkman Tevye and his family as they go about their lives in a turn-of-the-century Russian village.

Who: Robert Hunter, Grateful Dead Lyricist At The Paramount
Info:  Legendary Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter returns to the public stage on a city tour.

Who: Mostly Motown At Babylon Public Library
Info: Take a musical journey through Motown with New York City based vocalist Rhonda Denet. She’ll run you through the glory years of the 60s and 70s with songs by artists like Martha and the Vandella, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, and many more. Register at the Circulation Desk.
