Ms. Schuhmacher will be responsible for development and marketing activities as well as for conducting personal tours of the newly renovated Arbors at Bohemia. As part of The Arbors' management team, Ms. Schuhmacher will coordinate with the Community Administrator and fellow Directors in wellness, recreation, dining and resident relations to assist in providing an exceptional living experience for The Arbors' residents. Ms. Schuhmacher is a healthcare resource for local professionals as well as for local seniors and their families. She will create special events for business professionals, specialized programs for neighborhood seniors and a series of open houses and educational seminars about assisted living options, federal aid, veteran benefits, and support programs.
Prior to her appointment at Bohemia, Ms. Schuhmacher was the Director of Community Relations at The Arbors at Westbury for five years. The Selden resident has worked in the assisted living industry for over 13 years and has an undergraduate and graduate degree in Gerontology from Towson University.
