The 19th Annual East Northport Festival, hosted by the East Northport Chamber of Commerce, delighted all who came for a day of fun, crafts, food, music, and rides this past weekend. A wide variety of carnival games and rides kicked things off in John Walsh Park to start the weekend-long festival on Friday night. Performances from local musicians added to fuel to the fun, and food trucks served up everything from quesadillas and burgers to smoothies and fried Oreos.

Though the initial forecast was grim for Saturday, the rain and thunder held off through the afternoon, allowing locals to come enjoy the crafts, toys, and other knickknacks being sold by vendors lined up along Larkfield Road. Children were delighted to find Dora the Explorer wandering the festival grounds, and several other beloved characters made an appearance as well.

Throughout the weekend there were many great performances to enjoy as bands, belly dancers, BMX athletes, and even a magician were there to put on one show after another.

The festivities continued and the crowds grew larger still on Sunday, rounding out what was an exhilarating weekend for the town of East Northport.

If you were unable to attend this year, the festival promises to be a blast once again in 2015, and you can still visit the LongIsland.com booth at these upcoming festivals.
