FRIDAY – SEPTEMBER 13, 2013

Who: LaughNYC Beer, Wine And Hilarious Comedy Night At Hagerman Fire Department
Info: It’s going to be an amazing night of stand-up comedy New York City style. The night is accompanied with beer, wine, chips, dip and pretzels for sale.

Who: The Rising Bruce Springsteen Tribute At The Paramount

Who: Long Island Family Festival At Tanner Park
Info: The festival is presented by the Copiague Chamber of Commerce and runs until Sept. 15 (Rain dates Sept. 27-29). Enjoy fun entertainment, prizes, live music, a dog themed event, skate board demonstrations, a pizza eating contest and much more.

Who: 160th Anniversary Celebration At Hicks Nurseries
Info: For this anniversary celebration there will be a Fall planting kick-of sale, free hot dogs and other old-time favorites like vintage sodas, lemonade, popcorn and their famous roasted corn for sale for only 160 cents. There’s also foot-stomping sounds of “Goodtime Charlie’s Ragtime Band” from noon to 3 p.m. and photographic imagery on display, like how trees were delivered by barge to Oyster Bay in the early 1900’s, how the nursery looked back in the 1920’s and much more.

Who: NASCAR Stock Car Racing At Riverhead Raceway

Info: The festival features craft and gift vendors, unique gifts, handmade jewelry, one of a kind gift items and much more. There’s also live music, inflatable attractions for kids, food and beverage.

Who: 33rd Annual Fall Festival And Craft Show At Hallockville Museum Farm
Info: This festival offers fun for the entire family, featuring artisan vendors, food, music, children’s games, animals and livestock, demonstrations of traditional crafts like basket weaving, quilting, rug hooking and wood carving. There’s also hay rides, pony rides, local food and beverage and tours available to the historic homes and outbuildings dating from 1765 to 1937. Proceeds from this event go to support Hallockville Museum Farm.
