"Blizzard Watch" ...Blizzard watch in effect from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening... The National Weather Service in New York has issued a blizzard watch...which is in effect from Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening. * Locations...portions of southern Connecticut and Long Island. * Hazard types...heavy snow and blowing snow. * Accumulations...snow accumulation of 12 to 18 inches. * Winds...north 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * Visibilities...one quarter mile or less at times. * Timing...heaviest snow and strongest winds will occur overnight Monday into Tuesday. * Impacts...extremely dangerous travel due to heavy snowfall and strong winds with whiteout conditions likely. Secondary and tertiary roads may become impassable. Strong winds may down power lines and tree limbs. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and/or blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities. Labor Day Weekend is here! And while that means that LI's kids will soon see summer vacation draw to a close it looks like we’ll actually be in for one of the warmer weeks of the year. Unfortunately a chance of rain may put a damper on things on Sunday and perhaps even Monday, but if the forecast holds the Saturday should be perfect for afternoon fun! Read on for great happenings and ways to celebrate summer’s last hurrah!

NYZ Apocalypse!
NYZ brings the zombie apocalypse to Long Island in a new interactive action-theater production, with experiences every weekend! Reservations are recommended, but walk-on volunteers to fight the infection are welcome during all show times! NYZ Apocalypse is located just across the street from the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park. Labor Day Weekend Fun at Off Key Tikki!
Come to Off Key Tikk! Friday will feature a free happy hour buffet and half-price drinks from 4-6 PM, plus music from Sugar & Spice at 7. Southern Rock Saturday kicks off with Country Line from 2-6 PM and free BBQ, then Generations dance at 7.
