LI’s Adorable Adoptable Pets: Kyla’s Heart Problem Not Stopping This Love Bug

Written by Lyndsay McCabe  |  14. August 2014

Occasionally, animals in certain shelters are not given the proper care that they need.  This was the case of Kyla, a three year old terrier mix who was rescued from a Long Island shelter where she was passing out every day.  The volunteers at A Home Fur Now took her in and brought her to a veterinary cardiologist to find out the cause of her health issues.  They found out that she has a heart problem, but fortunately it can be kept under control by giving her two small heart pills each day.

Kyla is a happy pooch who does not mind taking her pills with a little snack. Her foster mom describes her as a loving, sweet dog who likes to cuddle with her on the couch while watching the Lifetime Channel.  She also likes short walks around the neighborhood and playing a game of catch. This easygoing pup is as happy as can be, and she would be a great addition to any family.

Kyla is spayed, housetrained, and up-to-date on all of her routine vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting Kyla, contact A Home Fur Now via email or through their Facebook page here.

A Home Fur Now is a not-for-profit rescue that relies solely on foster homes to care for their animals.  Their mission is to save the strays, throwaways, and shelter animals and to improve their lives through medical care, spaying and neutering, and finding families that would be compatible with these pets.
