I got some strong feedback from last weeks article! All of it in agreement.

(Is it just me, or does this look like Jerry Seinfeld to you too?)

Hi again! I'm glad to see you made it through that week of Long Island's famous Hot, Hazy and Humid Humid Humid Humid...ooops! Sorry! I think my keyboard suffered from that sudden onslaught of super humidity saturated 'air'. UGH! Ok, ok, I can't blame the poor computer, it was I who suffered greatly and I know I'm not alone there! They say that misery loves company but when you're in a very humid room and your company starts getting stuck together, company does Not love company!

The only ones that I know of that love this weather are the termites (Very unwelcomed company!) and the exterminators of course! : )

Alright, enough with the woes of being a home 'moaner'! I am very grateful to be able to own a home...so are the termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees...there I go again! What I need is a Carpenter! ; )

If you read my column last week, you know that

There will be a Talent Search on August 14th @ 7 PM at Classics Sports Bar & Grill!

Update!

I Just found out that the information I was given about this event was lacking a very Vital element! It seems you have to Pre-Register to be in this event! GRRR! My guess is that it's too late now to register, but you could still call and try....you never know, maybe someone backed out and left a space. Sorry!!

They are looking for celebrity soundalike singers, duos and vocal groups from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.

Classics is located at:

3271 Hempstead Tpke.,Levittown

*(516) 731-7830*

Good Luck! : )

I heard that last year's 1st prize winner

won $25,000.00! Yee Haa!

That's

THIS

coming monday!!!
Don't Forget!!!

Are YOU planning on entering??? I'd like to go just to see how many people dress up for the part! I wonder how many 'Cher's' will be attending? Maybe John & I can go as Sonny and Cher, but to be different, HE'LL dress up as Cher and I'll be Mr. Bono! LOL!

I must admit I've never been to a Karaoke talent search before. I think the only difference between this and a regular Karaoke contest will be that instead of trying to have your own 'sound', everyone will try to truly emulate the artist famous for the song. I think this will be an interesting night!

If you would like to contact me, here's my address:

If you would like to see the listings of places to sing Karaoke on Long Island, got to:

Have fun out there and sing one for me! : )

I'm outta here!
