Four days of seminars on tax accounting provide CPE and CLE credits

The School of Professional Accountancy at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University will host a series of tax and accounting seminars, carrying continuing professional education credits for certified public accountants and enrolled agents and continuing legal education credits for attorneys, in late August.
All seminars run from 9 a.m. (registration 8:30 a.m.) to 5 p.m. in Lorber Hall Room 100 on the campus in Brookville, N.Y.

Monday, August 22 - Tax Defense-Disputing Tax Assessments with speaker Mark L. Stone, CPA, MST. (Eight CPE credits for this program)
Friday, August 26 - Federal Tax Update with speaker Jeffrey L. Jacobs, J.D. (Eight CPE credits)
Monday, August 29 - IRS Collections with speaker Frank Agostino, J.D., LL.M. (Eight CPE credits)
Wednesday, August 31 - The Practical Business, Tax and Legal Aspects of the Limited Liability Company/Limited Liability Partnership with speaker Alan E. Weiner, CPA, J.D., LL.M., partner emeritus; Comparing Partnerships, LLCs, S Corporations with speaker Arnold Haskell, partner at Holtz Rubenstein Reminick (eight hours CPE credit, three hours CLE credit)
