The last thing any bride wants is to have to cut something out of their dream wedding because they weren't prepared or didn't allow enough time in the planning process. Pick a Date: Picking the date can sometimes be the hardest thing to do or the one that causes the most stress. Getting this out of the way fast allows you to plan much more of your wedding day and the most time to send out save the date cards. Plus once you have your date you can get started on location which is always fun! Get on this right away!

Pick a Location: Location is key when it comes to wedding planning. It can dictate your theme, the amount of people you can invite and the type of service you will be having. Plus if you've always had a dream location, it's best to try and claim your day immediately! Start making a list of possible places to look at, and then set up appointments to take tours and to see what packages each location offers. You might be surprised at what each location can do!

Pick Your Bridal Party: While the groom’s party is also important, the bridal party is going to be taking the brunt of the duties when it comes to helping the bride plan her day. They should be chosen and informed ASAP, at least so you can make sure they will be available on that date. With your bridal party picked you will double or triple the amount of people who can help you plan your big day!

Save the Date Cards: Obviously you want everyone important to you and your fiancé to be able to make it to your wedding. For this reason you should get your save the date cards out as soon as possible. These don't necessarily need to match any sort of theme, which can be saved for your invitation! Something simple and convenient will suffice.

Wedding Dress Shopping: Any bride can tell you the most difficult part of the wedding process is picking a dress. You want to give yourself as much time as possible to find the perfect gown and allow for any alterations needed. The time it takes to order a gown and go for fittings can make or break a dress deal! Take your bridal party to give you all their opinions concerning your dress.
