We’re nearly half way through summer – can you believe it?! But even as we reach the half-way mark, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of summer deals and savings to enjoy! For this week’s edition of Local Steals & Deals, enjoy a deal on KFC’s hot wings for only a few cents, discounted cold beverages from Starbucks, and find out how your IKEA’s kids meal purchase through the end of July can help fight child hunger.

  • KFC: Craving for hot wings? You can catch them for $0.50 with the purchase of any bucket with this coupon. This limited time offer is available at participating restaurants through Aug. 3, 2014.

  • Starbucks: Remember Starbucks Treat Receipt? It’s back! From now through Aug. 17th, make any Starbuck’s purchase before 2 p.m. and enjoy any Grande 16 oz cold beverage for just $2 after 2 p.m. the same day. Just keep your receipt from earlier in the day to show when you return. And you don’t necessarily have to return to the same location for the offer.

  • IKEA: What’s not to like about its healthy kids meals? There’s the choice of moose shaped pasta in tomato sauce, yogurt and a lingonberry drink or grilled chicken with carrot sticks, strawberries and string cheese for only $1.99. And you can feel good about this purchase knowing that the Future IKEA US program will donate $1 to Feeding America for every healthy kids meal purchase through July 31, 2014. You may also add a donation to the food purchase amount.
