The coastal Flood Warning has been canceled. * Locations...North Shore of Long Island. * Tidal departures...1.5 -2.5 ft above the astronomical tide. * Timing...until 7 am this morning. * Coastal flooding impacts...minor flooding of the most vulnerable shore roads. * Beach erosion...3 to 5 ft waves and high storm tide may cause beach erosion along the north facing shorelines open to the Long Island Sound. A few exposed Waterfront structures may be damaged. Precautionary/preparedness actions... From now through Aug. 17th, make any Starbuck’s purchase before 2 p.m. and enjoy any Grande 16 oz cold beverage for just $2 after 2 p.m. the same day. Just keep your receipt from earlier in the day to show when you return. And you don’t necessarily have to return to the same location for the offer.
  • IKEA: What’s not to like about its healthy kids meals? There’s the choice of moose shaped pasta in tomato sauce, yogurt and a lingonberry drink or grilled chicken with carrot sticks, strawberries and string cheese for only $1.99.
