This great theme is for all you wine lovers out there! A popular venue to have your wedding during the summertime are beautiful, picturesque vineyards. There are beautiful views, gorgeous landscapes and an enormous amount of space to turn your ideas into a reality.

To go with your location, have a wine theme for your big day! The ideas for this theme are truly endless and you can even do a lot of the ideas on your own to help keep some money in your pocket. Take a look at these suggestions to help begin the planning process!

Save The Dates and Invitations
For your save the dates, send out a cork magnet with your wedding date on it! It is simple but makes a large statement and the magnet will be a reminder for your guests. You can add a bit more to the cork, like the names of the bride and groom or just the first initials of each name to help save room since corks are not too big in size. As for the invitations, there are a bunch of great ideas that include wine! You can send out an invite in the shape of a wine glass, or you can have each one “stained” from the bottom of a glass. This will add a cool effect to the invite and it still represents your theme.

Guest Book
Rather than taking the traditional route when it comes to a guest book, think outside the box! You can use a large wine bottle or two for your guests to write their wishes or set up a jar filled with corks for each guest to write on. You can later on use this jar filled of corks as decor in your home and as a reminder of your special day. Another cool idea is to have all your guests sign a wine barrel that you can put in your backyard and use for parties!

Centerpieces
The centerpieces are an item you can save some money on by putting them together yourself! You can do something as simple as a painted wine bottle with flowers coming out of it that match your colors. A fun idea is to paint the wine bottle with chalkboard paint which allows you to put the table number right on the bottle! This will not only look great but it will help save some room on the table. Painting the bottles with black chalkboard paint will give you the option to use multiple different colors for flowers or candles that can be set up nearby. To dress it up a bit, add a ribbon around the neck of the bottle so it hangs elegantly above the table number. Another great centerpiece idea is a wooden wine box! Set it up in the center of the table and fill it up with anything you desire! It can be flowers, candles or a wine bottle. Fill it up with all these items if you’d like! It adds a bit of a rustic feel and is more unique than the traditional floral centerpiece.

Decor
Your wedding decor will make a lasting impression on your guests so you want every detail to be absolutely stunning! You want the decor to flow nicely and go along with your theme, and with a vineyard location this gives you more than enough room to do as you please with the space. Most vineyard weddings are held outside which also makes planning quite easier since you aren’t limited to a one size room. Set up a bunch of wine barrels throughout the party, even at the end of the aisle! Stick some floral arrangements on the top of them to add a pop of color to the wooden barrel. You can also use the barrels to set up a dessert bar or wine station by simply placing a piece of polished and stained wood across them! Hang some greenery from the trees or from the tent if you’re having one, along with bunches of fake grapes. You can use red or green grapes depending on which suits your color scheme better.

Favors
Wine corks are a popular item that people have been starting to save and use for different types of projects. What a great idea to use corks as a keychain and send your guests home with them! This is something you can purchase or another way to save money is to make them yourself. Save a bunch of corks from all your wine bottles and attach a key ring to it, and there you have it! If you don’t think you’ll be able to save enough corks within a couple of months, have friends and family give you theirs as well. If you would like to take it a step further, have your wedding date engraved into the cork!

We hope you get the chance to incorporate these wonderful ideas into your big day to create the wedding you’ve always dreamed of! Add your own twist to things and remember, make some of the items on your own and see how they come out first before paying big bucks for something! Either way, the evening will be one that both you and your guests will talk about for years to come!
