Garden City, NY-based benefits and risk management consultants, Chernoff Diamond & Co., LLC, have announced the appointment of Brian M. Laibach, MBA, CFP ®, CRPS „¢ to the position of senior benefits consultant in the firm's Retirement Plan Services division, which offers consulting services specializing exclusively in the design, implementation and administration of retirement plans. In this capacity, Laibach is primarily responsible for business development and marketing Chernoff Diamond's extensive pension services, including its proprietary design direct recognition Variable Investment Plan ("VIP"), created for business owners and professionals to optimize benefits, minimize risk and costs, and provide for greater tax deductible contributions.
ABOUT BRIAN M. LAIBACH
Brian M. Laibach, MBA, CFP ®, CRPS „¢, joined Chernoff Diamond in June 2011, bringing with him over 30 years of expertise as a financial and retirement plan consultant and financial advisor. Most recently, he was associated with Chase Investment Services Corp. in Brooklyn, New York. His role at Chernoff Diamond will enable Laibach to go back to his retirement planning roots, which he cultivated from 1980 to 1998 at Buck Consultants, Inc. in Secaucus, NJ and New York, NY. During the ensuing years, he served as senior manager, vice president of client relationship services, national product and sales manager and financial advisor at several other financial and retirement planning companies.
Laibach earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and Banking from the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. His undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree was received from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP ®) and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS „¢).
A lifelong Long Islander who grew up in Massapequa Park and attended Alfred G. Berner High School, Laibach resides in Wantagh, NY with his sons Sean, 21, a recent graduate of Albany University who will soon join the global business consulting and internal auditing firm, Protiviti in New York City, and 16 year old son, Kevin, a Wantagh High School student and goalkeeper for the Albertson Roma Academy travel soccer team. Two year old German Shepherd, Max, rounds out the household.
