Like food seems to taste better al fresco, music seems to sound better outdoors. We have a lot of it to enjoy this summer right here on Long Island.  The outdoor concert season has swung into full gear.

This summer marks the second season of Rich Rivkin's Summer Arts Festival series, with outdoor festivals to take place at waterfront parks, museums and college lawns across our Island.  The arts festival features live bands accompanied by artists simultaneously speed-painting while inspired by the music, audience interaction and scenic views.  His summer mission is to present funny named festivals locally, with varying themes, showcasing the region’s most-loved bands, hosted at scenic outdoor venues; adding to the mix Live Painting by 50 to 75 artists, a big BBQ, and low cost (or free) admission.

A magical vibe takes hold as the artists’ brush strokes are directly influenced by the band’s music – which in turn engages the audience in a fun, high energy, human-feedback loop that fires up the musicians and stimulates the painters; an organic, interactive, multi-sensory experience for all.

Be sure to put these dates on your calendar for a unique day to remember!
