LI’s Adorable Adoptable Pets: Kittens Galore at Save-a-Pet

Written by Lyndsay McCabe  |  26. June 2014

It is still kitten season in shelters across Long Island, and at Save-a-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, shelter staff and volunteers have spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and found loving foster homes and permanent homes for over 500 kittens in 2014 alone.  There are more kittens on the way, so this week, Save-a-Pet wants to shine a light on their kittens and some of the cutest mewing faces they have to offer.

Kittens at Save-a-Pet come in all shapes and sizes, and are ready to adopt.  Take a look at this black beauty, and this new litter of sweet gray and ginger cats.  The creative name is up to you!  All they need is a litter box, food, water, and a comfy place to sleep – preferably with you or your kids.  If this is your first cat, take a look at the American Humane Society’s Top Ten Checklist for Adopting a Cat, and look for tips on cat-proofing your home and making sure that if the cat is being given as a gift that the recipient is an active participant in the adoption process so as to avoid an unwanted gift.
