July has officially started and there is a lot going on this summer on Long Island. Trust us, you don’t want to miss out on this season’s best summer fun!

The kids are out of school and ready to jam pack their summer full of tons of fun activities, time with friends & family, and new experiences. Long Island summers have plenty of options for kids and families, including inexpensive & free things to do.

Summer is also one of the best times to see live music. With so many venues it’s possible to find musical performances going on practically every night of the week! Whether you prefer a big, outdoor venue, or a small, intimate space, Long Island has all of the above and in between. All musical taste preferences will be able to find something they are looking for here.

July consists of one of the biggest celebrations all year: The Fourth of July! With events and fireworks displays, you cannot miss all the excitement around July 4th.

Summer on Long Island means pools, spray parks, amusement parks, and boating. Be careful this summer and practice proper sun safety! Stay hydrated, use sunscreen, and protect skin and eyes.

Looking to get some relief from the heat? Sprinkler parks provide a great way to have fun while cooling yourself off. The kids will love running around and playing in the water.

It wouldn’t be summer without a trip to the beach! Luckily no matter where you are on Long Island the beautiful beaches are never far away.

Amusement Parks
Go for a wild ride at one of the various amusement parks Long Island has to offer. The whole family will have a blast.

Visit The Animals
There are many places on Long Island to go see animals, and pet them too! For fish lovers there are aquariums and even butterfly houses for butterfly lovers. Get educated and have a great time while learning about various species of animals. The kids will have a blast!

Summer Reading
Whether you already have your next book picked out, or you need to run down to your local library for some new material, summer is a great time to enjoy the sun and outdoors while relaxing outside with a good book. Visit a nearby park, find a spot by a tree or a cozy bench, and take in nature while you read.
