During the warmer months it's nice to take a break from all of the different beers and breweries and enjoy a nice, fruity, thirst quenching cocktail. Perfect for impressing friends with some aesthetically pleasing, colorful drinks or for simply enjoying them yourself while lying out by the pool with a good book. Get out the blender and cocktail shaker and head to your local liquor store or supermarket to start making up some of these fabulous cocktails.

From pineapple to blackberry, vodka to rum, we have compiled a list of alcoholic beverages with something for everyone, no matter their taste preference. With easy instructions and minimal labor you'll be enjoying a cool glass in no time.

Cranberry Daiquiri Slushie
Everybody loves a nice, cold slushie when the weather begins to get warm. Well how about you kick it up a notch with an alcoholic, cranberry slushie!

Makes 6 servings:

  • 2 cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup rum

Mix all of the ingredients in an 8-inch square non-metal pan until all of the sugar in the concoction is dissolved. Freeze overnight with a cover. When you’re ready to serve the cocktail use a fork to scrape and break up the surface. Then spoon out some into a glass and add some more cranberry juice until the glass is filled appropriately. Stir and voilà! Slushie à la alcohol!

Strawberry Lemonade Sangria

This sweet and tart cocktail mixture will be sure to have your taste buds singing.

Makes 1 gallon:

  • 2 packages of sliced, frozen strawberries
  • 1 can frozen lemon concentrate
  • 2 chilled bottles of your favorite rose wine
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 liter ginger ale

Thaw the strawberries and frozen lemonade concentrate. Grab a big punch bowl and stir together the strawberries, lemonade concentrate, wine, and pineapple juice. Add in the ginger ale right before serving.

Frozen Blue Hawaiian
This yummy, beautiful blue drink will have your tongue turning colors by the end of the last sip.

Yields 1 drink:

  • 1 ounce rum
  • 1 ounce blue curacao
  • 2 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce crème of coconut
  • 1 cup ice

Pour all of the ingredients into the blender and blend well. Serve in a tall cocktail glass and decorate with a cherry and slice of pineapple.

Blackberry Gin and Tonic
The perfect drink for any berry lovers out there. Also a great treat to follow up with after a day of berry picking. Consider making this cocktail with your pickings!

Makes 1 drink:

  • 6 blackberries
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 ounces gin
  • 3 ounces tonic water

Mix blackberries and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Then add the gin and syrup to the mix along with a few ice cubes and shake well. Serve the drink in a glass with ice and top it off with tonic water and garnish with a lime.

Grape Sparkler
A little fizzy, a little sour, and a whole lot of tasty. Feel free to add more honey as you go along to even out the taste to your liking.

Makes 4 servings:

  • 4 cups seedless red grapes
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cups seltzer
  • 6 ounces vodka

Purée grapes in a blender and pour them through a fine mesh strainer to prevent any grape skin or clumps from falling trough. Next add the lemon and honey until honey is dissolved. Then add in seltzer and vodka. If you have any grapes leftover you can use them as garnish.
