"Dense Fog Advisory" ...Dense fog advisory in effect until 7 PM EST this evening... The National Weather Service in New York has issued a dense fog advisory...which is in effect until 7 PM EST this evening. * Locations...Queens...Nassau...and Suffolk counties. * Hazards...dense fog. * quarter mile or less at times. * Timing...through 700 PM EST this evening. * Impacts...reduced visibilities...making travel hazardous. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving...slow down...use your low beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed. , "Special Statement" ...Widespread fog...locally dense at times...through this afternoon across Long Island... Fog will continue across Long Island through this afternoon and possibly into early this evening. Visibilities will be frequently 1/2 to 1 1/2 statute miles...and at times a quarter mile or less...especially along the South Shore of Long Island. Visibilities will improve with a wind shift to the southwest late this afternoon into early this evening. Motorists should be on the look out for rapidly changing visibilities. LI’s Adorable Adoptable Pets: Kittens on the Way for Snowflake

Snowflake is an abandoned pregnant kitty who is getting ready to give birth, and Save-a-Pet is looking for donations towards her care and the care ...

Every animal deserves to be treated with care and compassion, and unfortunately it is all too often that shelters receive animals that are simply thrown away as though they were trash.  Snowflake is a young pregnant kitty who was sadly tossed aside by her previous owners, and she now calls Save-a-Pet Animal Rescue home.  She is due to give birth soon, and Save-a-Pet is looking for a few responsible owners to adopt her kittens when they are old enough to be separated from their mother, and to donate towards the care for this new cat family.

Snowflake is a medium-sized calico with expressive eyes, which she will hopefully pass on to her little ones. This mama cat will also be available for adoption after she has finished nursing her kittens. 

Snowflake and her kittens will all be vaccinated and up-to-date on their routine shots.
