Fruits and vegetables are an important part of your nutrition and lucky for us, they taste delicious too! Instead of going to a local grocery store for your weekly supply, why not head to a seasonal farmers market for an even fresher collection of goods? Farmers markets are quite popular on Long Island and take place in both Nassau and Suffolk counties, offering fresh foods to all residents!

With the fresh produce you can buy at farmers markets, you can create tasty and healthy dishes that the entire family can enjoy. Not only do these markets have fruits and vegetables but they also sell other food items such as soup stocks, honey, dairy products, pickles, pastas, olive oil, wines, Artisan breads, tomatoes, chicken, pork, ravioli and much more! As for the non-food items, you can purchase flowers and plants for your garden too! Even get your pups some fresh dog treats!

Check out Long Island’s upcoming farmers markets and stock up on some fresh foods for this Spring and Summer!
