With April being National Poetry Month, what better time is there to head over to an open mic night on Long Island! Whether you’re a poet yourself looking to have your original work heard, or simply someone who enjoys listening to local writers express themselves verbally through the art of poetry, these restaurants and coffee shops on Long Island are the perfect place to go to hear rhythmic, metre language performed orally - and to settle in with a nice, warm cup of coffee or tea!
