Bethpage Federal Credit Union has launched a Facebook contest, The Bethpage Air Show Rocks! to search for the Bethpage Air Show's biggest fan. Long Islanders are challenged to share their stories and/or photos from any of the previous seven Bethpage Air Shows that took place from 2004 through 2010 and post to the official Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach Facebook page or mail them in for a chance to win. Three random winners whose photos or stories capture the thrill, excitement and family fun of the Air Show will receive a Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach VIP Prize Package valued at $500 plus exclusive Centennial of Naval Aviation commemorative merchandise.
Here are the details: Each year, hundreds of thousands of spectators convene on Long Island to view the annual Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach, headlined by some of the most elite pilots in the world. This year, Bethpage is challenging fans to share their stories and/or photos from any of the previous seven air shows that capture the thrill and excitement of the air show performances and the incredible family fun this event brings to all!
Those interested in participating in the contest can upload their photos and stories to the official Air Show Facebook page, www.facebook.com/jonesbeachairshow, or by mailing photos and stories to Bethpage Federal Credit Union 899 South Oyster Bay Road, Bethpage, New York 11714, ATTN: Bethpage Air Show Rocks! Contest. All names will then automatically be entered into the Bethpage Air Show Rocks! contest. For Facebook submissions, the more posts you share with photos and stories, the more chances you have to win; each post counts as a submission. Three random winners will be chosen. Each winner will receive four VIP tickets to the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach Reception held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, four VIP tickets to the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach and exclusive Centennial of Naval Aviation commemorative merchandise. Only those submissions capturing the positive elements of the show will be considered. Fans can upload photos beginning April 11, 2011 through May 9, 2011 at 5:00 PM ET. For photos or stories mailed in, submissions must be received by Bethpage by 5:00 PM ET on May 9, 2011. Bethpage will announce the three winners on Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
The Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach, which this year will help commemorate America's Centennial of Naval Aviation, will be held Memorial Day weekend 2011 at Jones Beach State Park, Wantagh, NY, on Saturday, May 28, 2011 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM and Sunday, May 29, 2011 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The Air Show is free to the public, but the standard $10.00 vehicle use fee will be collected each day upon entry to the State Park.
