Ahh the Devils.

While the Devils have appeared to be a less defensive minded team then they have over the last few seasons, it seems when they get together with the Islanders, that's just what they appear to be, a very defensive minded team. The game reminded scoreless through 1 and the second period was winding down when they scored to make it 2-1.

Islander talk on the FAN?

What's the world coming to, first the Islanders win 2 in a row, and 3 of 4, now this. In case you missed it, Mike Milbury was on WFAN yesterday afternoon for a chat with Jody McDonald and Suzyn Waldman. You can read the transcript at

or listen to it at

Blonde haired guy

No... not the gold haired guy, the blonde haired guy. After the Panthers game Saturday afternoon, John Vanbiesbrouck's chip was pulled (along with Chara), so his hair was to be dyed blonde, and blonde it was! Quite a strange site.

Champs and Chumps

No, Timmy didn't have a great game, nor was Beezer particularly horrible, that's just the kind of game it was.
Timmy happened to score the lone Islander goal, and Beezer gave up what appeared to be a couple goals that he might have made a better play on.

Penalty Shot

The Islanders were actually awarded one last night. Dave Scatchard had the honors against Martin Broduer but was denied. This is the second time this season an Islander has been denied (they're 0 for 2), which is in line with the rest of the NHL, as there have only been 6 goals on 24 opportunities.

Concession

What happened to the Chicken Strips? Not only did Aramark get rid of the Chicken Strips, they overcooked the nuggets and give you less for the same amount of money. I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised.
