V-Day Bay Shore presents two benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Boulton Center.

Bay Shore, NY - Local Long Island community members, including Suffolk County Legislator Kate Browning, will hit center stage dressed in red and black, ready to spread awareness about violence and abuse toward women and girls through their production of Eve Ensler's play The Vagina Monologues. Two benefit productions will run at The Boulton Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2pm and 5pm.

The Boulton Center for Performing Arts is located at 37 West Main Street in Bay Shore, NY.

The Vagina Monologues celebrate the global movement of V-Day, which strives to empower women to find their collective voices and demand an end to the violence.

The proceeds of V-Day Bay Shore 2011 will benefit five local non-profit organizations whose programming supports survivors of violence and work toward the ending of violence in the LGBT community. They include: Anti-Violence Project of LI, Auntie M's Helping Hands, FEGS Positive SPACE, LI Crisis Center/Pride for Youth, and Thursday's Child.
