It is estimated that over 5.1 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Cruisin’ Couples is Sid Jacobson JCC’s innovative program that ensures both those with dementia and their caregivers get relief from their isolation and the opportunity to experience the social interaction so integral to physical and mental health. Cruisin’ Couples is supported by funds from Sid Jacobson JCC’s Auction for Excellence, An Epicurean Event. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, March 20 at Glen Oaks Club.

Running Scared, Running Free
Head to the Sachem Library this Sunday, Feb. 9th for the theatrical presentation being held in honor of Black History Month. The presentation will begin at 2 PM and will highlight the connection between freeing the slaves, abolitionists and Native Americans in Setauket as well as their use of codes in quilt patterns as a means of communication. Valentine's Day at the Long Island Science Center
Bring the kids down to the Long Island Science Center this Saturday from 11AM-4PM to learn all about the anatomy of the heart.
